CORPORATE LEADERSHIP

Frank Beningo, CEO

Frank is the founder and CEO of ATEC.  Prior to starting ATEC, Frank supported the FAA for twelve years in all facets of Test and Evaluation for both the Enroute and Oceanic Air Traffic platforms. His vision has always been to provide not only customer-centric support, but to focus on the needs of ATECkers and their families. Frank is also an accomplished commercial pilot with over 4,000 hours logged from various contract missions with private, State, and Federal government agencies.

Frank has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Richard Stockton University of New Jersey as well as an FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument and Instrument Instructor ratings.  When not working to support the ATEC mission, he can be found with his family on the ocean Sailing, Surfing or Paddling

Chris Alex, CFO

Chris is responsible for the finance and accounting of the company as well as contracts management and funding. Chris is involved in business development, marketing and growth strategy for the company. He has contributed to the development of ATEC since joining in 2012. Mr. Alex holds a Bachelor's Degree and has 10 years experience in financial management and business development.

Bud Hanlin, COO

Bud Hanlin is the current COO at ATEC. In his role he provides business development, employee mentorship, corporate vision and direction with goal of strategic stability and growth for the company. He has been involved in technical coordination and outreach with customers and partners since joining in 2014.
Bud retired from the FAA in 2010 and has over 38 years of automation and management experience in ATC related NAS systems and operations. This includes FAA Division Manager, Deputy Division, Branch Manager, Section Supervisor, software engineering, and program and project management overseeing operational EnRoute and Oceanic automated ATC systems. In addition to his work, he makes time for family activities, volunteering and exercise which primarily consists of golf.    

Theresa McKinley,

VP of Federal Programs

Ms. McKinley, VP of Federal Programs, has over 28 years of experience providing customer-focused management and engineering support for Federal Aviation Administration air traffic, time-based traffic management, and communications automation programs.  She is a subject matter expert in second-level engineering.   She has provided technical leadership in all phases of the lifecycle development including Systems Engineering, Software Development, Adaptation, and Integration, Test and Verification.

Laura Beningo
Human Resource Director

Laura is ATEC’s Human Resource Director reporting to CFO Chris Alex.  Laura joined ATEC in 2015 and has supported the company’s exponential growth.  As ATEC continues to enter new markets, she works to help our team scale and succeed.  Her focus has been to develop a strong employee centric culture by keeping an emphasis on the ATEC family as envisioned by ATEC’s founder.

Prior to working at ATEC, Laura was an Optician and managed staff at several medical practices throughout South Jersey. She is a US Air Force veteran, serving for over ten years. Laura brings with her considerable experience managing people and process implementation.In her spare time she likes reading, yoga and spending time with her family.
